This morning's Vogue Knitting rant
All you need is your own imagination.
Here's a small recap: I have been subscribing to Vogue Knitting and Interweave Knits for 2-3 years now. Let's skip the problems with the beginning of the subscription and move forward in time to the days when VK came punctually on the day it was published or on the following day at the latest. Then there were problems with IK, and I think my problems were among the smallest ones. I did keep on subscribing, though, because it's easier (and cheaper) than buying separate issues.
Now it's gone all topsy turvy. Like I said earlier, VK and IK have apparently swapped their delivery services because now IK arrives in time, but I have had to report at least the latest 3 or 4 issues of VK missing. At the moment I am waiting for the spring issue that I reported missing on April 14th and that should arrive in 3-4 weeks.
I complained about the winter issue first on January 25th and later on March 13th because the replacement issue did not arrive in the promised time. I finally got the replacement issue on April 4th and another issue on the very next day, April 5th. USPS sure is strange - first you have to wait for a magazine for weeks and then the second one arrives in two weeks after someone has first sat on it for other two weeks before mailing it!
As the comments tell, this is not a problem only in Finland. Vardakeerutaja told that the situation is the same in the southern neighbour. I don't know if that should be comforting or not... I know I have readers across Europe, so please tell me, do you get Vogue Knitting on time or not?
Come on, Vogue. (Madonna: Vogue)
