It's a scarf! Again! Oh no!
After I finished the Arcobaleno raglan, I had 400 grams of the yarn left. It wanted to be something quick, that is, another triangular scarf.
In fact it made another triangular scarf first, it took two 100 g balls. (In the first picture Mini is testing the scarf.)
However, the first scarf did not look nice - and in fact it wasn't even triangular but more of a diamond shape. (Blocking did not help.) That's what you get when you try to be smart but get the increases wrong (two stitches in the middle on every even row was not good)!
So, I started another scarf from the remaining balls and decided to increase more stitches as I went (4 per each even row, two in the middle and two on the start and end of a row) and the thing started to look like a scarf.
Then I realised that I would like a big triangular scarf. The ones I've made are quite smallish compared to me freezing easily, so I ripped the first scarf as I knitted the new one. I used up all the 400 grams of yarn and got a big, soft, lovely, warm, triangular scarf.
The lace pattern is called horseshoe lace and you can find instructions, for example, here and here.
