Crann Bethadh and Memoria Volatilis

Has she gone crazy? Does she speak a language people could understand? Actually, no, I haven't lost it (yet).

Let's get to Crann Bethadh first. It's a triangular scarf I knitted. Jussi said that it reminded him of something Celtic, so I named it "The Tree of Life". When the scarf was finished, I realised it turned all the way round and the point where I started (and thought was the lowest angle) was now the center of the upper edge. Well well, you always learn something new!

I don't know if the scarf still looks Celtic. Jussi kind of hinted that it was the green colour that gave the Celtic feeling, so I'm still on the safe side.

In the picture the green scarf is the original one, the small blue thingy is the swatch with a lace edging and the pink one is another scarf I just started.

Why the fancy name? I thought I could publish this in Ulla and at least impress people with the name...

Memoria volatilis then is Jussi's brand new blog on history (in Finnish). It's mostly about the Medieval Times and the Viking Age.

Blogging seems to come quite naturally to Jussi (yes darling, I know you're reading this). Just think that a while ago he kept on asking "what could I say about this-and-this event then" and never got to write anything about it and now he just sits there and types. Or is it that I don't proofread this entries and comment on every missing comma?

The name is Latin and means... Well, I'm not telling, go ask Jussi!
