Big sorrows, small sorrows
It seems like this year has not started very well. Hopefully it gets better as the days move on. I hope so. I still believe that things will always get better. It may take time but they do. Meanwhile, thank you very much for your comments. They cheer me up every day!
On a global level there are big sorrows: the tsunami disaster in Asia surely shocked us all. It's been amazing how willing people have been to help! One day I sat in the bus bus and a lady wearing the Red Cross vest came in, she was going to or had been collecting donations on the street. She just came in and sat down in the front of the bus but the people reached for their wallets anyway. It was a very touching moment.
On the knitting level it saddens me to see that Pia has decided to quit blogging. I'll miss her fabulous fairisle sweaters and her cat Ritu - but luckily Pia isn't leaving us for good anyway.
On the personal level there are smaller sorrows. I'm tired of my work. I don't know where half of November and all of December went, I was so busy and also had fever or stomach flu but still went to work half-sick because there were deadlines I should meet. Of course the quality of my work was not very good then.
I also lost two colleagues in a short time. One got a new job (and I'm happy for her but sad because she left). Talking about colleagues, I know some of you might be reading this, so here's to you: you're the ones that keep me sane! The coffee breaks with you brighten up the days.
Oh, so, if you have an interesting job opening and want to hire me, leave a note, or if you are my colleague and plan on leaving, please take me with you!
Smile though your heart is aching, Charlie Chaplin said. It's good to know that I can still make you smile even though my spirits haven't been very good lately. Thank you! Hereby I promise to be better this year and leave more comments to your blogs.
