This one's ready, too

This is ready! It was quick to knit on 6 mm needles. I also liked the Novita Aino yarn, I do have a thing for loosely plied yarns... But does this match the colour of my eyes like Jussi said it would? I guess it does. If I remember correctly, I bought eight balls of Aino and there are now three left, so one could conclude that I needed 500 g of yarn for the sweater.

Also notice the cat in its natural habitat. Don't look at me! I chose the photo where Maxi looked the best, nevermind the sweater.

But how does a loosely plied yarn like Aino handle use? This is the yarn left over when I cast on. During this week it's been wound and unwound (by itself) and rewound, rubbed against the sofa and the body of the sweater, chewed by the cats, dragged across the floor with the sweater (you saw one occasion in the previous entry, in addition it was dragged to the living room floor once last night and twice today) - to sum up, the yarn has been subject to some friction.

This is the result (the upper yarn is the yarn I've used and the lower yarn is there for reference). This is not a heavy duty yarn as it's already starting to look a bit fluffier and worn out.

It must be the needles. But, I switched to 3,5 mm needles now! We'll see how fast this goes.

how can you knit sweaters so fast?! you've knitted two complete sweaters while I've only gotten about 20cm done on my sweater... ok, I haven't really done any knitting on it for some time now... and maybe I should switch to 6mm needles instead of 3,5mm for my next project? *hehe*
looks good on you!
