If you get a good idea...

...you can use it over and over again with or without small alterations.

I thought of knitting a cardigan in beige Red Dune (it would have looked different) but I got bored after knitting a swatch. However, the Novita Aino (100% wool, 6 mm needles) I got from Koria a while ago had been calling me and even though the weather was nice and warm and sunny, I started something woollen.

Wool and boredom were not the only reasons for starting another sweater with a cable pattern on the front. I had got an idea of a variation of the cable pattern I used in the Red Dune sweater and decided to give it a try. This is the sketch:

I started the sweater yesterday and as I knit it in the round, it progresses pretty fast. I sat on the sofa moaning about the last days of my holiday (it's back to work tomorrow, blaah) and watched the Star Trek-a-thon on TV (they show the original series during the weekend on nights and mornings). After the Star Trek episodes ended at 13.45 I happened to change the channel to VH1 and started to watch the 100 Greatest Albums show as they were just showing number 99... I got plenty of knitting done today - and Taken and the re-runs of X-Files are still on tonight...

And I do not want to go to work tomorrow. Would someone come and save me?
