I want wool!
The scarf is ready, but I want to block it before I show any photos. Here's Frank instead, slowly and cutely melting away.
When I was finishing the scarf, I got a crazy idea: would I be able to knit I do from Knitty in two days just in case I would like to wear it to the wedding? I was answered, unfortunately, very quickly. No! If I would knit it from the same yarn the scarf is knitted from, no way. 100% cotton is lovely but it does not stretch at all. I like the result but I want something more flexible. Should I go yarn shopping? Should I stop stressing? I want wool! I want at least a cotton blend. I want more time...
And, by the way, if you were going to an Estonian-Chinese wedding at Nõmme kõrts, what would you wear?
Well, I guess I go back to the telly. We got some Pay-TV channels and we've been listening to 80's and 90's hits all day. So, excuse me while I continue screaming (sorry, they play Jimi Hendrix as I write this) for example this:
- Wow, it's been a while since I've heard this song!
- Take My Breath Away by Berlin, from 1986! It cannot be! I was 13 then!
- Oh my, I still know the lyrics to Duran Duran's Rio by heart!
And what makes me worry:
- Oooh, David Coverdale sure looks good in his tight leather pants singing Here I Go Again.
Yes, we're old. Next we'll watch some good documentaries from the Discovery Channel. Or the X-Files reruns.
